Exact X Counts is a browser extension that changes how engagement counts are displayed on X (x.com and twitter.com).
Data collection
Exact X Counts does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information or browsing data with the developer or third parties.
Local / Chrome-synced preferences
The extension stores only the user’s display preferences (whether exact replies, reposts, likes, and views are enabled) using the Chrome storage.sync API. Chrome may sync those preferences between browsers signed into the same Google account according to the user’s Chrome settings. The developer does not receive those preferences.

It reads the page’s existing accessibility labels and page structure to obtain the exact engagement counts and replaces abbreviated visible counts locally in the browser.
Remote code and external services
The extension does not load or execute remote code. It does not use developer-operated servers, analytics services, advertising services, or the X API.
Account actions
The extension does not post, like, repost, follow, send messages, or otherwise perform actions on the user’s X account.
